Sofa durability largely depends on its inner spring system. Two mainstream spring types for export furniture: pocket coil springs and sinuous zig‑zag springs, each with its strengths.
Pocket coil springs: Each coil wrapped in separate fabric pocket, noise‑free, better weight distribution, premium soft seating feeling. Widely used for high‑end residential and hotel sofas with longer service life yet relatively higher cost.
Sinuous zig‑zag springs: Continuous S‑shaped high‑carbon steel wire. Stable performance, cost‑efficient and fast production for bulk export orders, ideal for modern‑style sofas and rental apartments. Key quality factors include wire gauge, arrangement density and anti‑rust treatment.
Low‑grade sofas apply thin‑wire springs without anti‑rust finish, which cause sagging, squeaking and rust after short‑term use. All springs from our factory are made of high‑carbon steel with anti‑rust treatment and pass tens‑of‑thousands fatigue tests, meeting EU & US furniture safety standards. Custom spring configuration is acceptable. We supply both bare spring components and finished sofas for export.
